Career Guidance for Indian Students After 12th Grade
Choosing a career path after 12th grade is one of the most crucial decisions students face, yet many make this choice without proper guidance. At Sri Harshini, our career counseling program helps students navigate this transition by matching their aptitudes, interests, and skills with suitable career options. We've moved beyond the traditional engineering-medicine dichotomy to explore diverse emerging fields.
The first step is comprehensive aptitude testing that evaluates logical reasoning, verbal ability, and spatial skills. We then conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students and parents to discuss results. Many are surprised to discover unconventional career paths like data science, environmental law, or sports management that align perfectly with their strengths.
We organize regular interactions with professionals from various fields and alumni who share their career journeys. These sessions expose students to real-world challenges and opportunities in different industries. Our annual career fair brings together representatives from over 50 colleges and companies, giving students direct access to information about courses and employment prospects.
With the rapid changes in the job market, we emphasize developing transferable skills like critical thinking and adaptability. Whether students choose conventional degrees, vocational courses, or entrepreneurship, our goal is to equip them with the awareness to make informed decisions. The happiness of seeing students thrive in careers they're passionate about makes this the most rewarding aspect of our work.

June 03, 2025This is much needed! I wish I had such guidance when I was in 12th. Do you offer these services to students from other schools as well?
